I have a bush

20" heavy barrel. so far I have had no need for attached flash lites, lasers, C-more scopes on and on. I do use 30 rnd mags, and wish I had a 5 rnd mag. A bi-pod would be nice also.
I live near Nellis military base, and talk to the troops on occasion. they have told me that U S Marines make 300 meter head shots with open sights. if they can go to war with out all the attachments, so can I. may I suggest buying a plain jane bush/dpms, and spend the money saved on ammo and mags? the way things are going in this country, you'll need them much more than you'll need a laser or a 900$ acog. but thats only me.

Get a manual. I suggest the Army manual, and possibly the TM for small arms marksmenship as well. I also like the GI cleaning kit, it's pretty complete and compact.

dust covers for your mags, and mag pulls might be something else to consider.
