Back in my early adulthood, I carried a .44 Cap & Ball revolver while delivering pizzas. It was simply all I owned at that time. Replaced it with a Chi-com Tokarev in 9mm, and then with good quality guns.

I think I just bought mine.

A Smith & Wesson 396-1, "Mountain Lite", 5 shot, 44 Special, 3.5 inch barrel. Alloy frame, titanium cylinder. Weight 18 ounces. It literally feels like a toy gun in my hand. My Ruger LC9s (loaded) weighs more.

Recoil is no worse than a Charter Arms 44 Bulldog. I've got a pancake holster that it fits perfectly, but realistically I doubt I'll ever carry it. As someone earlier said, I wouldn't want to see it kicked across the parking lot. That's what Ruger LC9s's are made for. It would be great for it though.

I don't know what anybody else carries. I really don't even know anyone who does. I've never asked.
