I'm new to this board - questions...
I'm new to this board and have a couple of questions.
So, basically, I can sell my handgun on this site with no issues? How does the process work? I have a Blue Ruger p345 (45 caliber) to sell. I live in Charlotte, NC. I've only fired about 30 rounds thru the gun since I've had it (bought it last year for home protection). |

You can sell to someone in NC the same as if you had run an ad in the newspaper.
To sell to someone in another state, the buyer will need to contact an FFL (Federal Firearms License) holder in their state to handle the transaction. They can find an FFL at http://listings.shotgunnews.com/fflguide/ |

The victim disarmament laws in Mecklenburg County are a little different, to do a FTF/"private" sale the buyer has to have a pistol purchase permit (which you must keep in your records indefinitely) or a concealed carry permit.

stephen424,
There are also some legalities (and shipping rules) that must be observed when shipping a handgun. The BATF has a FAQ that addresses this issue and the shipping company will have some rules you must follow as well. http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm
