National Bullet copperized bullets

Anybody use them? Do they act like lead or plated similiar to Rainier's? Looking at .40/10mm 155gr SWC & 180gr TC and .45 230gr RN.

At approx. $48/1000 for the .40's and $51/1000 for the .45's looks like something worth trying.

They're copper "washed", not plated, as are Rainiers. As long as you're not shooting them in a Glock, they shouldn't lead any more than pure lead, but they might. (They're not nearly as hard as hard-cast lead.)

I like national bullets that I have tried, very accurate,
both in 9x18 and 9mm. I will say i find the shipping
becoming too high and may switch over to Berry because
of that.

Great bullets but as stated the are copper washed and so will lead somewhat more than plated bullets. I switched to West Coast Bullets for that reason. If that doesn't matter I found National Bullets 200 gr. SWC to be a great target practice bullet in 45 ACP.

I've used a lot of NBC plated bullets, and have found them to be reasonably accurate, and with MUCH less smoke (I shoot indoors a lot) than hard cast bullets. Particular favorites are the 230 Flat Point .45 for acp use, and the 255 and 300 .452 for .45 Colt or .454 casull use.

Their service has been very reliable, also.

I've had no problems with leading up to 1300 fps.
