Colt Mustang measurements

Hi, was wondering if anyone could supply measurements for the Mustang.
Checked around the internet but cant find all the specs.
I have a Kahr PM9 but want a more 1911 type pistol. but similar size.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Mines at the refinisher for a dress up. Don't have the spec but its smaller than most anything cept the NAA, seecamp, etc. I have a Robrbaugh R9 and the Mustang is about that size.

Oh...forgot...mine is a pocketlite....12.5oz....2.75 barrel

12.5 oz. Wow! i knew they were small but not that small. metal frame and lighter than my PM9.
now if i can just find one thats affordable...

5 -1/2 overall lenght. I have had one for a number of years and 100% reliable.

The Series '80 Mustang & Government Model .380's only appear to be little 1911's. They are not.

I have the Goverment Model and while it is a neat little gun.........wait until something breaks. Finding parts is not as easy as it was ten years ago.

Tell the surgeon that, when he's extracting .380 projectiles from your center of mass. I don't think it'll matter much.

Well.......if it's a surgeon then I'm still alive. I imagine those same COM hits with a 9mm would have a coroner extracting those slugs (if they didn't penetrate all the way through me).

Don't get your man panties in a wad....I'm not dissing the .380 as I think it is a fine round. I own seven different .380 handguns- one is the first handgun I ever bought. I bought,traded & sold another five or six over the years. But I don't for a single minute think the .380 is equal to a 9mm.

The point I was making (that you missed completely) is that switching from a 9mm to a .380 in the same size package is a step backwards.

The appeal and desirability of the micro sized .380's is due to.......wait for it..........their size. Whoddathunkit?

That depends on the pistols in question, and their intended purpose.

And... when you go too small with a 9mm, you run into feeding problems with a variety of ammunition -- problems the .380 can often overcome, due to its shorter OAL. What's the point of ignoring a reliable .380, in favor of a 9mm that can only feed FMJs?
