Shooting range in the Westchester NY area

Does anybody have any suggestions of where I'd be able to go shooting where I'd be able to rent/try various types of firearms, mainly handguns?

I'm looking to purchase my first handgun and was hoping I'd be able to try out a few different kinds before I made my purchase. If I can't fire them I'd at least want to be about to handle some so I can get a feel for them. Thanks.

in ny, legally, you cant even touch a hand gun without a pistol permit

couldnt even buy one, really.....you need to have a permit/license to carry

(you could buy one, but it would sit at the store....you would never
be able to possess it)

best bet would be to find a friend who might let you "look" at some of theirs,
privately, of course

probably wouldnt be able to go anywhere though to actually use them

most shops wont let you touch either.....

sorry.....we live in a tough state that is probably going to get tougher

I'd suggest a drive to another state. Be careful not to run over Bloomberg on the way....
