Help with some S&W numbers
HI all, first post here. I came seeking information about some firearms in my grandmothers estate.
S&W 38 special CTG D9520** S&W Model 638 CCF76** S&W 6690 TVB69** also has special order number I hear the 6690 is scarce and im definitely looking for information on it and possible values. Year of manufacture would be great on these though. Thanks for any help in asvance |

According to the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson.
The first revolver listed D9520xx, was built 1976-1977 and was either a Model 10,or 12. Open the cylinder and look at the frame for model marking. The Model 638 was built in 1997. The 6690 Semi Auto was a special order by RSR Distributors, and as close as I can tell by the book, was built 1985-1988. |
