Ruger Mk II Mag Release
Does anyone make an extended magazine release for the Ruger Mk II pistol? I've seen one offered by Brownells which looks like a short rod attached to the release but this isn't to my liking. How about TIG welding a small tab to the existing release?

I see nothing wrong with that idea.

Try On Target for all kinds of parts for Ruger Mk II's.
http://www.ontargetguns.com/rpemr.html This replacement part is only $9-10 and I've heard that installation is a breeze. |

I think I'll go with the Ranch Products/On-Target release. Thanks for the tip.
As to MIG, I think it lacks the precision of TIG. With TIG we have greater control over the amps and the amount of heat put into a piece, a better selection of filler rods, and its much cleaner. I don't think anything can beat a well done TIG weld. |
