Whats your favorite C&R 32acp/7.65mm?

Just wondering what everyones favorites are. I purchased 1000 rds of 32 acp from ammo man for $219 shipped and I'm thinking of getting at least one more 32 acp.

Correction - the FN 1903 was not chambered for the 32 acp, it was chambered for the browning 9 x 20 mm SR browning long. So lets hope no one votes for it. Thanks.

Favorite how? As a practical carry gun? As an interesting design? As best in fit and finish? As most original design? As most/least complex?

The Frommer Stop is a really interesting design, but I doubt I would carry one if a Walther PP or a Colt Pocket Model Hammerless was available. The Savage 1907, Remington 51, S&W 1924* and Davis-Warner are good examples of working around Browning patents, but at the cost of complexity.

*The 1913 is outside the criteria, being a .35 caliber.

The favorite overall. Basically the best blend of features which puts the firearm in someones high esteem. Most of these are similiar but each has its own distinctions as well.

Its meant to be about the C&R 32 acps (50 yrs old) to help narrow it down. Otherwise the choices would be very long. Sorry for the confusion.

I have examples of all of those and some more, but I really don't know which one I would call a favorite. I think the Colt Pocket Hammerless would be at or near the top of the list.

Oops, error. My Remington Model 51 is .380, so it doesn't count.

Funny that you include the FN 1900 and the FN 1903 but leave off the most famous of them all the FN 1910.

And you left out the ever popular Dreyse 1907. My vote was for the Colts but close behind would be the Savage.

I love posts like this (with surveys), because no matter how extensive you go somehow a dozen guys will pop out of the woodwork with the correct answer you managed to leave out.

I'm pretty fond of my 03 hammerless, you can just see the 1911 .45 in it. It's a nice thin, dare I say elegant little pistol.

There's something about the Colt 1903 that is really nice ... but the Walther PP has the deepest blue I've ever seen on old steel ... maybe they all looked the same when they were new, and the PP's I've shot were admittedly newer than the 1903's ... anyway it's a real toss up for me between those two classic designs.

Also, the CZ-50 isn't on the list and it's C&R ... although it is not in the same league as the 1903/Walther IMHO.

BTW, be VERY careful with 32s ... they will get together when you close your safe and MULTIPLY like rabbits!

*cough* J.P. Sauer and Sohn model 1913 *cough* Fun little shooter, not the BEST design, but an interesting one.

1. Mauser M1914/1934- I have one (not sure which). Archaic design, a little tricky to handle and disassemble, superb workmanship, mine is accurate.
2. CZ 27-my other 32ACP. Poor ergonomics, hammer and safety awkward to
manipulate, grip to frame angle poor. Poor sights. Robust contruction, accurate, reliable.

I pick the Mauser 1914.

Its a tough call between it and the 1903 Colt Hammerless pocket pistol since I have both but the little Mauser is more concealable
