Help with laser sights

First of all, I don't think I would dig Crimson Trace and the way they activate. I think I just want a rail mounted laser sight. I am looking to buy a Taurus 1911; I want the sights for that gun.

I may want to just go for the rail-mounted lasermax red. I really wanted a green laser as I think it would be much easier to see, but there are a few problems with that. I really like the lasermax design, they are very small, but the green is said to have a battery life of only 40-60 minutes; not to mention, the green only pulses, it never stays concentrated. What is up with that? The other green option is viridium sights, but first of all, they don't fit a Taurus 1911. Besides, I think they look very bulky. These supposedly get 4 hours with constant light...why such a difference?

Anyways, I just wanted to ask for advice/recommendations. Thanks ahead of time.

fine some one who has a pistol with the crimson trace laser on them and try them, i have tried just about all and like the CT,s best of all. i have them on three pistols and can shoot better in dim light and at multible targets (ranges are close that i pratice at) than with open sights, i admit my eyes are not very good at 65. no matter what you decide to buy pratice, pratice is the word. eastbank. ps its easy to activate the ct,s or not as the situation warrents and no change in your holsters

Well, I will still give CT thought, but I don't think I would like the way they make the gun feel with the activation switch. I also don't care for the high price. Any insight into my other inquiries?

Lasers

I have a CT laser on my Glock 27 and really do like it. Just wish I could afford one for my G-23 (and others) as the CT price in todays market is in my opinion very costly. I carry my G-27 mostly summer (shorts and unbloused shirt) and winter with a jacket in a IWB holster. The CT only turns on when the palm of your hand closes on the pistol grip itself. I recommend a CT to anyone; just hope CT management can come to their senses and lower their price substantially. They would definately sell more units.

laser sights

I am new to shooting so please excuse my ignorance. I bought S&W model 64 and love it. I can keep my group in the nine circle right now. I am 56 years old and me eyes aren't what they used to be. I am thinking about laser grips I like crimson trace but they are very costly. Will it be worth the money and will it get me closer to the middle?
