45 ACP Brass
I recently was given about 500 rds of 45 ACP brass and some of the headstamps are marked *I* 45 AUTO and was wanting to know if anyone has any info on these.

I've got some of those cases, range pick-ups I believe it's 'Independence' brand. seems OK brass. may be CCI/Speer orgin.

I haven't used any of it but from what I can find it was originally made in Brazil by Magtech but is now made here in the U.S. by CCi-Speer. Didn't find anything negative bout it.

I really like Independence's brass. It cleans very well inside and out. Also, it's more forgiving on sizing. What I mean is that there's less felt friction on the sizing process. My guess is that the brass is annealed enough to accomodate ease of sizing. But, at the same time, I don't see it being too soft at the head.
Best of both worlds if you ask me...
