My new beast!
I'm sure this has been discussed already but I need to show off my new BEAST HD 12 gauge....
1) Start with a Remington 870 Home Defense. (I already swapped the furniture with my 870 express-magnum hunting 12g) 2) Drill out those annoying detents...(drill a small pilot hole, then go big, I used a 1/4") 3) At this point you need a dremmel or small grinding stone to take out the burrs inside the magazine tube. After deburring, I used epoxy to cover the bare metal, then sanded everything down so the magazine follower could....follow. I then attached the extension and a light mount (which I put my TLR-3 on) and it was done, and beautiful..... |

I know it's been discussed ad nauseum; but, why did you choose to drill out the dimple instead of trying to smooth it out? In previous posts, some have claimed it's as simple as driving an appropriately sized wrench socket down the end of the tube.
Edit: it's been mentioned that a wrench socket might give better service, in this particular application, than a wench. Last edited by zippy13; February 20, 2011 at 06:37 PM. Reason: typo |

I'm still trying to figure out what a wrench socket is. Nice shotgun.
