Deer hunting in Southern Arizona
Well, hello all fellow hunters.
The November rifle season went perfect. My Son who not to long ago returned from Afghanistan went out and bought a really nice Rem. 700 CDL in 7mm Rem. mag. for this year rifle season. He and his youngest brother and I all got drawn for the hunt and had an absolute blast. We hunted and camped for over a week in high moutain desert, and all of us killed our bucks! Even if we had gone home without the deer, it wouldn't have made much difference. My military boy was able to unwind from the experience of Afghanistan and is a different more relaxed man after the hunt. What a wonderful way to reclaim your state of mind after seeing nothing but war for over a year. He enjoyed it so much, as did all of us, that he and both his younger brothers, got their archery tags and did a January archery hunt together. They were camped for a little over a week and just came home yesterday. Two more nice deer to add to the freezer too! The military Son and his next to the youngest brother both stuck really nice 3x3s. So since November, we have taken 5 bucks! This will be a hunting season we will cherish for all time. |
