Saiga .223 AR15 Magazine adapter available
Just wanted to say that I noticed that renegadebuck has mentioned that his next batch of AR15/Saiga .223 magazine adapters have been completed and are ready for taking orders and to be shipped. http://www.gunco.net/forums/f279/new...1/index17.html . I have to say, that I have been extremely pleased with my adapter. It has been nice to be able to shoot AR15/M16 magazines reliable, and still be able to shoot OEM/Surefire magazines if I choose to.

It's a free forum. You can sign up in the forum. If you don't want to, then you can ask me specific questions. I have no direct relationship with Renegadebuck; but if you were to PM me you're email address or something, I could get it to him so the two of you could communicate. Probably easier to just sign up in the gunco.net forum. Either way.

I wonder if it would work on a 5.45x39 with smith and wesson 5.45 mags or on a 7.62x39 with those Cproducts mags

Why would you want one for the 7.62x39??? The AK magazine format is the "STANDARD" for 7.6x39. What magazine would you want??? Or, are you wanting a standard AK magazine, to be used in a saiga 7.62x39. That's easy. Just go to any of the saiga forums and you can find out how to do that.

why would I want AR type mags for 7.62x39? well mag changes would be easier and faster and I wouldn't have to worry about clearance issues with mags and a vertical grip. are you not familiar Cproducts 7.62x39 ar15 mags?

No argument here. Yes, I am familiar. My point was that the reason I use a renegadebuck AR15/Saiga223 adapter, is because I want to have the capability of using a "Standard" magazine used in .223. For that caliber, the AR15 magazine is the standard. I also have a 7.62x39 (Maadi). For a 7.62x39, I simply consider the AK47 type magazine to be the "Standard". In other words, I can go almost any place, and pick up those 2 magazines. I personally wouldn't be modifying to accept a non-standard magazine for the same caliber. But I definitely understand what you're doing. Others have done it. I sort of understand the logic, but being able to get Ak47 mags cheap, was the route I took. I can get plenty of mags for under $10.

well I already have a regular ak47 so no worries there. the only saiga I have at the moment is a .308. it'd be nice if someone made an adapter for those.
