.204 ruger
Does anyone have any data out of a reloading manual that shows start and max powder charges for the Sierra 39 grain blitzking using W748, Reloader 15 and IMR 4831? Also if velocities are listed that would be a help. I am reloading a .204 ruger. Thanks

Check the Winchester and Sierra web-sites. Most powder maker's web-sites have reloading information.
I use Berger 40gr. moly bullets over Varget, BLC2 and H335. Varget seems to be the best so far. Got my info from Lyman manual & direct from Berger via e-mail. |

I don't think you will find any reloading manuel that recommend 4831, its way too slow for the 204. I cant find any recommed loads for the other two you mentioned as well.
I think I would invest in a can of powder that works in the small capiticy shells like the 204 Ruger. When I first got my 204, reloading data was hard to come by. I did find a on line load from serria. I tried their "accuracy load" (I only shoot the 32 grn) and was disapointed both in accuracy and velocity, then I switch primers and WAM I hit the jack pot, Using Serrias acc load (Benchmark) and switching primers gave my 32 grn bullet 4300 fps and super accurate in my Ruger #1. Try some faster powders and play around a bit. Thats half the fun in reloading.

Don't overlook Ramshot TAC or H4895 either. At least with the 40gn V-max!

I have wanted to try Ramshot, with Sportsman's whse closing in my area my choices are limited. Looks like a good product from what I have seen.

Is anyone shooting their .204 out past 400+ yds? I have several loads that shoot good out to 200, but it seems that after that it becomes more of a crap shoot. i have tried a few 45 grain loads, the gun seems to like the smaller bullets better, so i though i would try a few different types of 40 grain.

I prefer the 39 grainers over everything else. I have found Reloader 10 and AA 2460 have really performed well in the three 204's I have.
