Update from a novice

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to update you guys. As some may remember my wife got me a Moss Persuader for my birthday and I got her a Moss 500 for hers.

We both went to the range and had a fantastic time. We shot trap and then skeet.

My wife was very excited that she hit one.

We are havinga ball. Although I bruised my right bicep a bit from the recoil.

We are thinking of joining the gun club. It costs $318/yr. $150 is an initiation charge. What do you think of the rate?

I just wanted to let you guys we are having a fun time.

Michael

Glad to hear it, Michael. $318 is a bit higher than what I pay here, but not by that much.

A couple suggestions...

If your bicep is bruised. your gun mount is off. Now that the Archives are available, do some browsing on proper techniques. Practice your mount at home a bit, it "grooves " it in and conditions your muscles.

Each range trip, at the start at least, just stick to one game. Say trap this time, skeet the next. Learning should be simple.

If you're using name brand shells, like AAs or STS,etc, save your empties. Around here, the best once fired hulls go for $.04 each. Check with a reloader you trust about any other hulls, some are not good candidates for reloading and/or wear out fast.

Enjoy, and if the Archives don't answer a question, just ask....

Thanks Dave,

I didn't find anything specific enough in the Archives.

What do you suggest as far as the mount?

I will save the shells.

Thank you,
Michael
