I'm having a problem finding round-nose 45 acp bullets at local shops.

I'd appreciate suggestions of sources for either mail order or on-line order sources.

Thanks, folks!

I use West Coast plated bullets. They're great bullets and great people with whom to deal.

Have had many different varieties of FMJ 45s. IMHO West Coast is the best!

Try The Silver Bullet. 217-483-3948

RR1 Box 241
New Berlin, IL 62670

They're hard to contact 'cause you usually have to call between 11 and 2 during the day, but they seem to be good bullets for $32/1000 or $17/500.

DISCLAIMER--I haven't actually used the bullets I bought there yet. They came recommended by Joe Hatley on this forum and the price is good, that's all I know so far.

I had a very pleasant and helpful chat with a lady at West Cost Bullets. She was very helpful in describing the range of copper-plate bullets offered for .45 caliber.

I ordered 1000 each 200 grain round nose for $66, shipping included.

A very nice touch, she offered to send some sample bullets of other shapes and geometries for trial.

Oregon Trail is awesome. I've used the .45acp (230), 40cal (180), and 38spcl(158). Extremely accurate even without perfectly developed loads, and no leading---shot like jacketed bullets. I like'em!!!
