Arisaka scope mount?
Although it has been beautifully sporterized many, many years ago, I figure y'all might be able to help me.
I have a nice little 6.5 Arisaka, and when I received it, it had the dinky little Weaver #70 mount on it, which equates with a short action 700 or model 7 Remington, with exception that the rear of the receiver is the same height as the front. Does anyone make a one piece steel mount of any kind that will fit this off the shelf? Here's some pictures:

There might be some, but I have no idea which ones, sorry. The trick will be finidng one to match the holes already in the reciever.
Call Weaver? Or some of the other scope base makers and see what they say? Best I can do, sorry. You could always have a custom mount made by a machine shop, if you can spend the $

Since the hole spacing is exactly the same as a short action 700 on a 1pc. mount, I guess I could get away with having the rear of a SA 700 Leupold 1pc. base machined down to fit, since all it is- is too thick.
I knew this thing would be a chore...
