Guns on your short list?
I find myself longing for blued guns lately, and all Smiths, so my short list is the following:
S&W model 10 4" S&W model 27 4" S&W model 586 4" S&W model 36 snubbie Hopefully before the year is over or by January 2014 the latest, I might pick up one. What's on your list? Laura

Sig 224 9mm with SRT.
Sig 239 SAS. Don't need either of them. Don't see any particular need or role for them to fill. But that was never part of the equation, was it? |

Is there such a thing as a "short" list?
For me - S & W Model 10 - 4" S & W Model 36 - 3" (I have a snubbie and LOVE it) Either a vintage Colt or S & W in 32-20 Ruger SP101 - 3" 357 heavens! This list could go on and on!

- S&W 13 or 65 in 3" barrel configuration. Why do these guns have to be so scarce
- Ruger New Vaquero 5.5" in .45 Colt - Ruger Redhawk 4" in .45 Colt <-- That is if Ruger actually makes enough of the damn guns. From what I can tell this gun in this caliber is one of the scarcest production pistols out there, have yet to see one in person. Last edited by Dragline45; November 3, 2013 at 09:05 PM. |

Ivory handled birdshead SAA, or clone, 4" or shorter.
A Cobra and a Diamondback. Or a few of each. A 57 or 58. But for revolvers, that's my short list. |

Just happen to be thinking about that yesterday. Although my "short list" seems to evolve as availability arises.
But for right now: 1. Taurus tracker 992 4" stainless 2. Charter Arms Bulldog stainless 3. CZ 75 variant. BD, or SP-01 4. Glock 17 5. Sig 9MM. Either a SP2022, or P6. Affordability, lower cost new polymer, or used surplus single stack No need to be filled. All needs are met. these would be safe fillers, and range toys. OOPS, just noticed this is under the revolver forum. Scratch 3-5!

Been on the lookout for a nice Model 29-2. Seen quite a few locally, but time is on my side and I'm going to be picky on this purchase.

Hmmm.
I was just writing in a thread yesterday about the next gun I want. 1: Taurus Tracker 992 4" 22lr/22wrm or Charter Arms Pathfinder Combo 22lr/22wrm. That is about how far ahead I thought about buying seriously. For the rest.... 2:Some form of S&W .357, blued with wooden grips (perhaps a 586). 3:Ruger Blackhawk convertable, either the 45c/45acp or .357/9mm, probably the latter since I do not reload. After that it would be semis. 4: Sig P232 stainless .380 acp 5: S&W 3rd gen full sized metal framed gun of some sort. |

My short list is getting short,,,
My short list is getting short,,,
I've obtained almost all of the guns I coveted a few years ago. What I mean is I wanted some very specific guns very badly,,, With the exception of my Holy Grail gun (S&W Model 45),,, I've managed to get the ones on my list of "need". Now it's just guns I see that strike my fancy at any given moment,,, And believe me there are still lots of them to do that. I've filled out all of the "sets" I wanted to create,,, With the exception of one set. I would still like to obtain a pristine pencil barrel Model 10 and Model 64,,, These would become a set of three along with my pristine Model 12,,, Three identical guns but all of different metal. Aarond, the never satisfied .

IA 44 mag Desert Eagle - Just because I may have to face Chuck Norris some day.
.454 Casull - Because I want one. Colt 1911 - I have several 1911's but none of them are Colts. SVT 40 - I love Soviet block rifles.

My short list would fill volumes, my long list would fill a library, but since this is the "revolver forum" I'll just mention that part of the list > Collectibles, would have to be in mint condition...
1. Dan Wesson Pistol Pack, .44 Magnum, Stainless steel, complete. 2. Dan Wesson Pistol Pack, .357 Magnum, complete. 3. Colt Anaconda, .44 Magnum, Ultra-bright stainless, 4" barrel. 4. Colt Anaconda, .45Colt, Ultra-bright stainless, 4" barrel. 5. NAA Sidewinder (NIB) 6. NAA Ranger (NIB) 7. Colt New Service Target, .357 Magnum 8. Webley Mark VI, converted to .45ACP. 9. Colt Python, bright stainless, 3" barrel. |

Something in .40 s&w for me. It's the missing caliber right now. I'm leaning towards the Magnum Research MR40 but I also like the FNX 40. Both would be in SS. All metal guns I like in all black but poly guns I usually prefer in stainless.
