Man, Oh Man!

Does anybody know a source for Berdan primers in this country? Even the Old Western Scrounger doesn't seem to have them any more.

Graf and Sons used to have them, but I don't see them there now. They still have a decapping tool for Berdan primed cases. You might give them a call and ask what's up?

You must have a really oddball caliber to be trying this hard. It's supposedly bigger in Europe, but I can't imagine it would be easy or cost-effective to ship explosives internationally, if possible at all.

What caliber? Best of luck to you, but I would imagine your chances are grim.

He probably has a collection of brass that is Berdan primed.

Vihtavuori, Scott, Norma, PMP, RWS. All foreign made powders and primers. It is brought in all the time. Keep in mind the difference between propellants and explosives, as legally defined. The anti-gun crowd has tried to get propellants recategorized as explosives more than once, just to add the restrictions involved in selling and shipping explosives to help terminate sport shooting activities. Imagine having to get a permit from the county sheriff every time you wanted a pound of Bullseye.

7.62 Nagant. I don't like the idea of converting 32-20 cases and have a pile of the old Russian ammo cases with Berdans.

Also thinking about trying 7.62X54R's

Wow, this is really harder than I thought it would be. No source of Berdan primers in the USA?
