M855 powder and # of grains used. Do you know
I'm thinking about buying some WC 846 pull down powder, I have USGI load data for M193 55gr 5.56x45 and 147 gr 7.62x51 ball ammo using WC 846 ( Cartridges of the world ), but don't know if this powder is used in the M855 5.56x45 load and if it is how many grains.
Does anyone know or have data as to weather this powder is used in the M855 load, and how many grains. Any info would be helpful Thank You |

Use BLC-2 data, for a 63 gr Speer bullet starting charge 24.0 grains, 26.0 grains listed as max load for a 63gr bullet with a velocity of 3048 fps which duplicates M855.

844 and 846 Will shift from lot to lot. Their go-by data of H-335 for 844 and BLC-2 for 846 will get you started.
I just got a new jug of 844 and It is quite a bit hotter than the last. I should have got 2 jugs of the same lot this time. Anyway, Please work up or you could be digg'en primers out of your lower. OR worse. |
