Bear Hunting Questions

I am planning a bear hunt...it will be my first time and i am looking for any and all advice... i will be hunting in the middle of December in southern/central west virginia.

Bait

If it's legal where you are hunting, setting up a bait station is usually the best bet. I think most lower 48 hunters do this and shoot blacky from a tree stand.

I suppose it depends on where you're going, what you're going for, and what the laws are in that area.
Based on knowing nothing, my best advice is to bring a big gun!
