Thinking About Trying LEVERevolution 200gr In My .356 Handloads...
I'm looking for a new load for my .356 Winchester Big Bore 94. I haven't shot it much over the past 6 or 7 years and toyed with the idea of selling it, but came across some targets from years ago with decent groups from the factory Winchester 200gr loads. I didn't have much luck getting 180gr Speers to group well way back when, and it slowly worked it's way to the back of the safe.
I figured it might be interesting to try to work up some loads with the 200gr Hornady LEVERevolution bullets and was hoping some of you had some experience with this. Has anyone tried this? |

You might want to give the Speer 220 Gr. SPFP a try , it shoots great out of my .358 Win. and just poleaxes deer . I have shot the facyory LeverEvolution ammo out of my .35 Rem. pump (141) and it loved them . But I just bought them for the brass , the Sierra 200 Gr. RN Pro-Hunter shoots just as well .

I like W-748 , IMR-4064 and 4895 in my .358 . I have some loaded with Varget but haven't had a chance to test them yet . Nice gun , don't let it get away .

I'll hang on to it for the time being anyway. When I got it, it came with a few boxes of 200gr. factory ammo and shot pretty well. I didn't have much luck with reloads, but thinking back, I don't think I played with it much. Maybe it's time to head back to the bench. I like the looks of the gun though.
