Saiga Conversion Trigger Guard

Hey all! First of all I'm new here so hello! Onto the reason I am posting...
I am doing a Saiga conversion "as you could probably tell from the subject," and I have everything ordered and most of the parts have actually arrived. I was planning the conversion out today and I realized something: What do i use to secure the old trigger guard? I am reusing the old trigger guard, currently attached by rivets, however the rivets will obviously be destroyed. I have seen many videos and read many threads, and they all say to use a bolt or a rivet, however they never say what size. I am leaning toward the bolt/screw route, so, what size bolt/screw and nut combo do I need? Thank you!

Edit: It's a 7.62 if that is important

Saiga

Kuabarra: There is a excellent series of videos (10) done by a young man/gunsmith on youtube which shows the complete conversion. The gentlemen uses screws and tells you what size to tap the reviever and the screw size. The video is under (iraqveteran8888) "Saiga Conversion". Hope this helped

I am going to get called on this but

Why not use a 3/16 pop rivet
It is a rivet and would hold the trigger guard.

Or a # 10 sized screw/ nut
