Remington 870 Marine Mag Barrel Q

I would like to get a rifled slug barrel for my 870 marine mag. I think this model is a little different from the other 870's. It would not have to be the electroless nickel as the original is. Anyone know of a barrel that would fit ?

Pretty much ALL Remington barrels will interchange with and fit. Obviously only the MM has the sweet style, so as long as you don't mind 2 tone you're pretty much good to go on anything.

Since the Magnum Marine uses the retention spring and plunger in the front of the barrel support ring, you'd be best in getting a new barrel fitted with the plunger parts.

Without the retention plunger, the magazine cap or extension will tend to unscrew under recoil. It's the plunger in the support ring that retains the magazine cap or the extension collar.
Most Express barrels will not have the plunger. Wingmaster and Police barrels do.

You can buy a rifled barrel with the retention plunger direct from Remington.

"Pretty much ALL Remington barrels will interchange with and fit"

** Remington W & P = more suited

I guess I just had imagined this going without saying since you knew enough to ask the question so specifically.

Thanks for the edit! @ DFaris
