Wanted: Pre-Ban Glock 17 Mags
Any idea where to find pre-ban Glock 17 mags (17round) drop-free FML, NON-LE magazines ? I have found a couple at low cost, since the federal ban expired and most states have no restrictions. However, I live in a state the allows only "pre-ban" mags.
If you have any of these and you want to sell me your old ones, send me an email; [email protected] Maybe we can work out a deal, and you can buy yourself some new mags !! |

For the most part, I think most law enforcement officers don't know the difference. However, I noticed that the new production hi-caps have a slightly different look; the first two holes at the top of the clip are slightly further apart than the remaining holes (below). I have also heard that the "9mm" is closer to the top of the clip. However, the most noticeable difference is the placement of the holes which are used to check if how full (or empty) the clip is. The old pre-ban clips have all the holes the same distance apart.

10 Rounders are legal in NY
Logs, Thanks for the offer; I can get 10 Rounders at the store; and I have a ton of them. The reason I am looking for "pre-ban 17 rd. mags" is that NY has extended the AR Ban into infinity; therefore, only pre-ban mags are allowed in NY. If anyone has FML pre-ban glock 17 mags, I would purchase them at the going rate for new mags (plus postage). Therefore, I am offering to update your old mags, for free. I can't buy the new ones, because of our liberal legislature (and Governor); so now is the best time to stock up on pre-bans in New York; at least until they change the law again.
Thanks, Ken |

I think I found them
I am pretty sure I found them. I was able to order 5 DF FML mags for about $13 each !! Wow, what a deal . I hope they come through. I will edit or add a post if they do, at which point I will no longer need this thread.
I also had someone contact me with a few of the non drop-free variety; and offer them for $15 each; which I purchased a couple of them; and they work well. Thanks to Firing Line for this forum. I will no longer need this thread. Thanks also to those who emailed me with offers. P.S. I don't think I can delete this thread. Last edited by glock17user; August 23, 2005 at 06:44 PM.
