H-414 Rifle Powder
I have had some outstanding results, using H-414 in rifle and some magnum calibers. I recently aquired some win 760, and added it to my powder stores. I have been told, that thy are the exact same powder, packed in defferent containers. Is that so?

I don't know for sure about H414 and WW 760, but H110 and WW296 are the same powder, and I'm told HS7 and WW 571 are as well. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if they are. Hodgdon is handling Olin, IMR, theirs, Alliant/Hercules and who knows how many other brands these days. I've used H414 and WW 760 by the keg, and they both work very well in several applications.

H414 and 760 are the same base powder but there can be large variances between lot to lot product. If you're close to max loads, start over on working up your loads. If not close to max, I'd load a couple of rounds at 5% below your current load and try them. Look for any signs of pressure and resume with the normal loads but expect to have to adjust the amount of powder. i might also suggest if you're having great success with it, buy all you can find. It's going away.
