My Colt, series 80 Gold Cup.

Found used... it's had various things done to it long before I bought it.

This thing is so much fun to shoot.

What magwell do you have. I just got a used Gold Cup and they definitely benefit from a magwell. The mouth of the grip magwell isn't beveled at/all. Nice gun BTW.

THANKS.

Howdy.

I honestly do not know what mag well it has, as the work was all done before a pal of mine found it at a store and bought it.

We were guessing someone had it setup for some sort of target competition shooting.

That mag well does feed very nice.

This thing balances out in my hand perfectly and shoots so nice.

Neat 1980s to early 1990s Pin or IPSC style, Open class gun, probably.
Nice find.
Enjoy.

.

One of my bud's has a used GC - he's the one that made it "used", over the past 35 years.

It still looks & shoots like new, even though he's put waaay over 10K of his cast boolit handloads through it, besides whatever other ammo he happens to come across.

IIRC, he returned it to Colt once, about 5 years ago, to get a new slide stop fitted (he refuses to do any work on his guns, and only dis & re assembles it for cleaning).

You should be able to have a long service life with yours.
