Ruger Mark III Target

Good evening gents, I'm having an issue with my mark3 that I can't figure out.

I've owned the pistol for over a decade and cleaned it hundreds of times. One of the last trips out I cleaned it when I got home and reassembled it without an issue.

Went to the range a few weeks later and the slide was stuck. I brought it home, disassembled it, and reassembled. The slide operated as expected and I didn't put any more thought into it.

Took it to the range recently and the trigger does nothing. Not only does the trigger do nothing, the slide locks open like it is supposed to do when there isn't a magazine in it. I have combed all through it and cannot see anything I am missing. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Everything I've ever done wrong in re-assembling a MKII had to do with having the hammer in the wrong position or not having the hammer strut sitting on the mainspring correctly.

Could you have let the hammer strut sidestep the mainspring?
