PMC shotgun ammo any good?

With the run on ammo of all kinds over the last three weeks, all my dealer had left in 00 buck was PMC. I bought a few boxes but haven't had the time to try it out. Is it as good as Federal or Remington?

I've used only the birdshot in 7 1/2 and 8. However, it scored just as well on clay as the Federals and in the field I took a bunch of quail/chukar with them. I think they're just fine.

I've shot a heck of a lot of PMC .223 ammo and my Bushmaster loves it. Very accurate and reliable, but chronographed a little slower than the Federal.

While I've been underwhelmed with PMC handgun and rifle ammo over the years, I recently picked up some of their 12 gauge Brenneke slug loads. I have not tested them yet. Anybody here try them yet?

Believe it or don't - PMC 00 has been the best thus far in my pattern testing of my Vang Comp 590. Yes even better than Fed low recoil tac buck.

I am interested in getting a hold of some of there slugs.

FWIW - you need to pattern your gun. The suggested ammo for my Vang is the Fed Tac 00 - this is why you need to check it out for yourself.

Well, I finally had a chance to pattern the PMC 9 pellet 00 buck. At fifty feet, the best grouping was with a modified choke on my M1S90. Groups ran about 8-9" including the one or two flyers with each shell. Without the flyers the groups were 6-8." Is that acceptable, or can I do better?

Thanks for any replies.

I get best groupings with modified choke, too. 8-9 inches at 50 ft. sounds pretty acceptable to me.
