Trivia question
What kitchen technology found in many modern American kitchens may be traced to old weapon technology?
I'm not asking about radar & microwave. I mean centuries old.

I thought about a coffee grinder, nah. Funnel for cleaning?Nah. How about a corkscrew?Trying to pull a ball? Not saying your average corkscrew will work well as a worm..but |

It's not the appliance but the military innovation the appliance uses.

I'm calling it a night.
Socket bayonet technology is used to attach those fixtures to your mixer! OK, boo, boo, boo.

Unfair, I have never had a need for a mixer; nor have I ever used one.

Using hot soapy water in a metal pot, plus...boiling water from a pan, in order to clean black powder rifle bores in the kitchen.
Using left over bear grease from the cooking, so as to lube bullets.

Pretty sure 'Bayonet' mount precedes it's use in weaponry by hundreds of years...
