Rossi N971 history

I picked up a Rossi N971 357mag at a gun show last week end, it's the one with a ported barrel (3.25"). Can anyone tell me the history on my gun? Thanks, Bernie

I've got nothing- other than a suggestion.

I had good luck over at Taurus Armed dot net. It has a dedicated Rossi Revolver section.
