Drop in aftermarket Glock barrels?

Was wondering if anyone has swapped out their stock Glock barrels for a Lone Wolf, Storm Lake, etc.? If so, please share your thoughts on the swap, and it's performance.

Dropped a Lone Wolf 40S&W barrel into a 10mm Glock 20. It functioned perfect and shot great.

Prefer Storm Lake after Lonewolf has recently gotten too liberal with their "case support".

G20 Lonewolf barrel on left purchased 10/2012. G20 Lonewolf barrel on right purchased 2/2009.

Big difference.

Were both purchased from Lone Wolf, or was the newer one purchased from a 3rd party vendor that could have had old stock?

Both purchased from Lonewolf. The one on the left was a recent purchase of a 6" G20 barrel for my Longslide project. Did some research on other forums that are 10mm specific and apparently this is the norm for Lonewolf now...at least in 10mm. They were getting too many barrels returned because people were seating their bullets with too much C.O.L., or using certain large heavy cast bullets. Guess they got fed up with it and overcompensated by breaking down the chamber around the feedramp too much, at least too much for my liking.

Recently purchased G20 6" Storm Lake support:

Just put a new lone wolf in my 19. Shot it this week for the first time. No issues and accuracy was great

Lone Wolf. Drop in barrel was drop in. Works fine with factory ammo. Reloads need to go through a Lee FCD for total reliability.

I have a Storm Lake 9mm for my G27. Works like a charm. Tighter tolerances than the Glock stock barrel, enough that I thought it needed fitting when It first came in the mail. It didn't.

LW 40-9mm conversion barrels for our G23 and G27. Both work great with factory ammo we've ran throught them. Only problem at all is with running weak WWB ammo. We get a spent case on top of head or shoulder every once in a while shooting the G23. Stronger defence and NATO RN ammo always ejects properly.

It's okay.
2 guns in one.

A glock 27 can become a glock 26 and vice versa.

17-22
21-20

All vice versa.

Caliber conversions is one reason. The second reason is that I don't like the factory chamber support that the factory Glock barrels provide in 40 SW and 10mm when shooting reloads or full tilt 10mm rounds.

I disagree with this statement. The 9's cannot be converted to 40 SW or 357 Sig. Nor will a 10mm slide accept a 45 acp barrel.

I have a 40 LW conversion barrel for my G20, a LW extended length barrel in 10MM for my G20, and a Storm Lake extended and ported barrel for my G21.

The LW barrels are a bit tight in the throat, but all 3 barrels shoot great, and were drop ins.

I am happy with all 3.

Peace of mind when shooting cast lead handloads.

Hairbag,

What model/generation 40 Glock kaboomed on you? Also, what kind of ammo were you using at the time? Thanks.
