Idea for organization

Would it be possible to breakup the rifle section to bolt action/break action and semi auto?

Just to keep track of the threads easier.

Yes, it's possible and we've discussed it many times. How many different actions are there?

1) bolt (rotating bolt vs straight pull)

2) lever (rack & pinion rotating bolt vs straight camming bolt)

3) semiauto (open bolt vs closed bolt)

4) break action singleshots (ala shotgun action)

5) other single shots (think rolling block)

6) drillings/doubles

I don't think that's all of the options. Once we start forums for every variant your problem won't be keeping track of a thread, it would be remembering in which forum you saw it.

Seriously, it works just like it is for most of us. You'll get used to it. If it is unusable for you, I think most other general firearms boards do what you are suggesting. There's no shortage of forums out there on the internet that do what you suggest.
