my dad wants lighter grain bullets for his 243 he is using 100grain im going to buy him some 80 grains will this be good for varmints and coyotes or should i go with a lighter grain. is there that much difference between 100grain and 80grain?

The 70-grain Hornady is a good varmint bullet. So is the Sierra 85-grain hollow-point boat-tail. I have regularly gotten five-shot groups around 3/4 MOA with them. They both are "ruinacious" on coyotes. The Sierra bullet has been my "go-to" for whitetail in the 120-pound (field-dressed) weight and under. I've always used IMR 3031 with these bullets.
