Mossberg "Roadblocker" !?!?
Look at this thing!
http://www.mossberg.com/images/Mossb.../New/50591.jpg Thoughts? The unholy union of a Barrett 50 brake and a PG 500 shotgun? |

An impractical marketing gimmick. Mossberg is probably betting that enough of the "tacticool" crowd will spring for it to make production worthwhile. There are some who likely think the recoil of a 12 gauge warrants something like that. LOL. Looks ridiculous IMO.

Absolutely worthless for a shot gun! Now if you were layin' it on a bipod and prone shooting terrorist meese at 250 yards with $ABOT $LUGS and needing fast target reacquisition to prevent the meese from pinpointing your location to activate a defensive charge... it may be a good device.

worthless junk and old news
it's sad to see a company that makes a good product at an affordable price pawning off stuff like this. don't forget the one with the fake silencer on it or the one with the cheap ATI collapsible stock. that would have been a big hit if they had chosen a quality stock to put on it.

Hoss, I don't see it so much a shame as they are wisely hedging their bet to sell to the blue camo commandos at a highly profitable price. Considering the 18 inch pgo guns were once no more and often less expensive than their longer counterparts, I find the prices posters are quoting prove that one is born every minute as material costs are much lower for less metal and no wood stocks. I have seen near $400.00 routinely quoted when the 2 barrel combos sell for $350 and under Or the 28 inch with accu-choke threads and one tube is under $225 so an $80-90 barrel has it coming at well under $350... wise marketing from a family run american operated gun company!

Bill De, If you choose to take the gun out for some skeet or trap, The bead will greatly help compared to a hack sawed barrel with no bead at all...

Quote:
Can such a large muzzle brake even make much of a difference? As I understand it, porting and muzzle brakes tend not to be that effective on shotguns due to low gas pressure towards the muzzle. Is that correct? |

I had a booth at a gun show this past weekend and the guy next to me had a couple. It made for some great comments, he sold them both though, one to a lady that looked to be in her sixtys and the other to a guy who looked like he just pulled the needle out of his arm.
