Non-resistance doesn't work in this case...
... as the victim apparently didn't resist, but at the same time had no money to give an armed robber.
So the robber shot him in the leg, to make a point. Guess the point is, carry cash next time. Or else, perhaps a gun. The other point is, don't sleep in questionable places. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/...,4892317.story |

Not much info in the article linked but I would guess that BG got the drop on him as he slept. Gun may not have done him any good. |

Anyone familiar with South Orange Blossom Trail near Orlando (Concord St) knows not to sleep in your truck there. You're just begging for trouble to come and find you. You're better off drunk-driving yourself to the nearest police station. Something ain't right here. More likely a drug deal or prostitution deal gone bad.

Edit: Just looked on google maps.
OBT and Concord St is just south of Hwy 50, and is still North Orange Blossom Trail. That stretch isn't the greatest in town, but it's not the storied SOBT, and it's not as bad as you are describing, Skans. A mile south of there, and it's much worse. Although NOBT and Concord isn't great. Post-edit: BTW, Skans, UCF grad; wasn't familiar with "Concord Street", but looking at the map, I recognize where it is.
