Sub 2000 Reassembly

Just bought a Kel Tec Sub 2000, 2nd generation. Got it used, so brought it home, field stripped, cleaned and lubricated it.

As I tried to reassemble I could not get the bolt/bolt head to slide into place. Read the manual (printed out from internet) again, and again. I was doing it as described in the manual. Looked on Youtube . . . ah ha! Not included in the manual information is the need to reach in and push the hammer down just a bit to get the bolt head to slide on by.

Good to know.

Have not shot it yet. Watch for range report coming here soon.

Life is good.

Be careful how you handle it, if you transport or store it folded.
I have seen three die from broken hinges, and there are additional reports on the interwebs.
