headstamp ID

I was sorting 223 brass and found a headstamp I haven't seen before. the only markings on the head is a smal logo similar to the logo you see on Lake City brass and I presume a date stamp in this case "04". The Logo is in oppositon to the date stamp. Who Dat brass?

You're going to have to be a bit more descriptive than just saying "logo."

Are you talking a circle with a cross inside of it? Or something else?

It's a circle and I think it's a cross inside but these tired old eyes are not too sure. Usually when I see Lake City brass it has a LC YY this brass doesn't have that just the YY

Circle with a cross in it means that it's NATO standard, the manufacturers usually stamp their letters/name into the brass like you see with Lake City.

Got a pic?

Yep, the cross in circle means that the ammo complies with NATO standards and specifications.

That said, part of NATO's S&S requirements is that the case be clearly marked as to nation and year of origin.

The fact that that is missing makes me wonder if this is some of the counterfeit Chinese ammo that made it in a couple of years ago.
