HUH? WHAT'S THAT? WADDYA SAY?!?

To me my loudest gun seems to be the 4 5/8" Ruger Blackhawk .41 mag.

Most powerful, 30-40 AI, I guess. Maybe my .50 muzzleloader with maxi balls and too much black powder.

The loudest thing I have is a Fender Twin Reverb guitar amplifier. It's pretty powerful as well.

I guess I am the first one to mention the m44. Kind of loud but puts on a wonderful light show.

My new hex mosin nagant. 7.62x54r baby! Laugh, but the most powerful rifle I've fired (and own) is 30 carbine. I have and do fire some mean 12 gauge rifled slugs many times through my 590-a1 shotgun smoothbore though and shoot small framed .357 revolvers regularly. I have been lacking in the serious caliber center fire rifle area. So I'm excited. Just got it cosmoline free.

Loudest is probably my .270WSM, hardest kicking would be my son's Ruger Model 77 Hawkeye All Weather in .338 Federal. Surprising how much it pushes back with that little .308 case when pushing a 200 gr bullet over 2600 fps.

Right now it's a Steyr M95 in 8x56R. Once my project is done it will be a Steyr M95 in 50 Alaskan

Need to get the barrel profiled (ya' think? ) since that 1" thickness ain't needed w/ a <40,000CUP cartridge. +500gr @ 2000fps will be a shoulderful, though . Gonna make a recoil-capable stock for it, too.

The Loudest I have is a sport version of a .303 Enfield, the LOUDEST I've ever fired is my Fil's .577 Nitro Express double and a M2 "Ma Deuce"

Most powerful/loudest would be either of my 8mm Mausers and the hardest kicking is my K98 sporter, which is very light. No big deal though, as a slip on recoil pad tames it with ease.

My "most powerful" is probably my Kimber 84 in .325. My loudest and maybe most powerful (I think range is dependent between this and the .325) is my Winchester 94 Timber Carbine in .450 Marlin.

very loud

A Berthier carbine 3-shot internal magazine in full 8mm. The loudest shoulder weapon I have discharged.
Sold it last week to a fellow in Maryland.

Biggest is my .58 P53 Enfield. Loudest now is a 30-06. Loudest I ever had was a 30-378 Weatherby with a muzzle brake. Cartridges back then were 90 dollars per box of 20. That was in 99, God only knows what they are now.

I guess my Garand. Not a fan of hard kicking rifles, so my other two are a x39 carbine and AR in 223. I refuse to get anything that leaves a bruise, like the Mosin M38 I had.

Come to think of it the hardest kicking firearm I shot was my Mossberg 500 18" with a slug. OW!

My worst kicker is a Mossberg 500 12 gauge slug gun. Recoil is really bad!

I had a 7mm and 300mag, but the 270 is all I really need.

On the rifle range it is my EDM Windrunner in 50BMG. The original 'wasp nest' brake managed to amplify both muzzle blast and recoil. It wears a very effective clam shell brake these days, but you don't want to be in line with the ports when it fires.
On the pistol range it would be my repro Harper's Ferry .58 flintlock with 70gr FFg under a patched ball. Fun to shoot, but not to clean.

Ruger M77 in .338 Winchester. Recoil was awful till I ditched the old skeleton stock.

At one time I had a braked M1A that was extremely loud and a braked .450 Marlin that was as well.

I don't own anything all that big anymore, but I sure have made a few.
LOTS of 416s 458s, 460s a 505, and also several 8 bores, five 4 bores and one 2 bore rifle.

Other than my .308's which are loud because of their short barrels, I think the loudest thing I shoot is my short barreled .357 mag Blackhawk. My 12 ga. security shotgun has the worst recoil, especially with slugs.

Most powerful: .30-06 Springfield

Loudest: .44 Magnum (full house loads) ... might not be louder than the above at the muzzle, but it seems louder to the shooter...

And then there's this whimsical answer (which I don't own) -

PO Ackley's Eargesplittenloudenboomer

Apparently he designed this .224 caliber round to break 5000 fps. Only hit 4600 fps, but it is still an interesting wildcat. And probably loud.
