Been shooting a PK380 for the past year, thoroughly impressed with Walthers, been looking out for a PPQ, haven't had the chance to shoot one yet.

As far as the DA/SA, why not rack it, leave the hammer back with safety on, top off the mag? I've carried one here and there for a year in that condition, no problems.

Personal preference, for me. I don't like manipulating a safety lever - and the lever on a P-07 isn't very easy to hit anyway

But yes what you described is a perfectly safe way to carry it

And back to Walther PPQ...

Yeah it's a great gun!

My ideal Frankengun would be:

Slide from Q4-TAC with RMR installed
Non-threaded 4" barrel
Subcompact grip

That would be the ultimate carry rig for me, I guess -- oh, and a "Glock Gadget" installed on the back of the slide

Yes to the above, but is there anyone else that is uncomfortable using it as a CCW?
Yes. I really like Walthers in general and the ergos of the PPQ are amazing. But, after way too many unintentional double taps, I had to let it go.

Back to the P99 and the CZP01 for me.
