Been shooting a PK380 for the past year, thoroughly impressed with Walthers, been looking out for a PPQ, haven't had the chance to shoot one yet.

As far as the DA/SA, why not rack it, leave the hammer back with safety on, top off the mag? I've carried one here and there for a year in that condition, no problems.

Personal preference, for me. I don't like manipulating a safety lever - and the lever on a P-07 isn't very easy to hit anyway
But yes what you described is a perfectly safe way to carry it |

And back to Walther PPQ...
Yeah it's a great gun! My ideal Frankengun would be: Slide from Q4-TAC with RMR installed Non-threaded 4" barrel Subcompact grip That would be the ultimate carry rig for me, I guess -- oh, and a "Glock Gadget" installed on the back of the slide |

I shot the walther at IDPA today and it performed great. I performed ok. (-;
