Congrats on the gift and the wife. I have the same type. Not rifle but an awesome wife who hooks it up on the holidays and such.

Here ya go. Took it to the range today. Iron sighted it shoots very well, but now I need to figure out optics....

Ecstatic about the new addition!

I recently got an "engagement rifle"...lol. long story. But its an AR10 sass. As for optics. I found a hell of a deal on amazon for a Barska 6-24x50mm mildots, illuminated, 17" long. Looks badass on the rifle and is crisp, clear, and has done me very thus far. I highly recommend it. I think i paid, $160 for it...on sale from $360!
