i have the same model rifle just chambered in 30-06 i get my best groups with winchester 150 gr powerpoints. every deer i ever shot with it fell in its tracks. im not a big believer in buyin the hottest top of the line ballistic tips for deer huntin, its just overkill, it all boils down to shot placement shoot em in the neck and they hit the ground dead.
