Hello all,

I just bought some of this stuff to replace Bullseye to see if it burns cleaner, accuracy, etc. but my latest Speer reloading manual doesn't list any loads for this powder. I'd like to get some input on good 45 loads for target practice between 800-900fps (900 fps tops) with 200 and 230 jacketed bulets. Anyone have any experience with this new powder in 45Auto? Thanks.

Gopher, you should develop your own loads as what works great in one gun could be a dog in another. That being said here's what works in "my" gun. From 4.4 to 4.6 grs. of TG with a 200 gr. SWC Magnus bullet 1.260" OAL groups under 1" @ 25 yds. There are no shortcuts to proper load development.

Here are some receipes from my Hodgdon manual.

185 Gr Jswc TG 5.5 grain max start at 10% below this .

200 Gr JHP 5.2 Gr TG Again starting load is 10% below this these are max loads that I am giving you!!!!

230 Gr FMF FP 4.8 Gr. TG. Agiam this is a max load start at 10% below.

Try going to the Hodgdon web page you can get some load data there and order a free loading manual or get one of there full loading manuals. WWW.hodgdon.com

Good luck and load safely

Thanks for the replies all. I know I'll have to do a little tweaking on the loads, but I just wanted a good starting point. Thanks again.
