Help dating Browning BL22 !

I just bought a BL22... Having trouble putting a date on it. The serial number is 7B53253. Numbers are on the bottom. It does have a patent number. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Can’t upload pictures, but would be happy to email or text if needed.

Called browning, they couldn’t tell me what year it was either. The guy said in the early 70s, they did last two digits of the year, followed by the letter B... But he was unsure on single digit such as mine.

It appears yours was manufactured in 1963.

Going by the chart in ms's link, it looks like a 1967 to me.

You are correct. According to Browning website, it was introduced in 1969.

Browning also states that the serial number is on the right of the receiver towards the front.
