Big Speed Safety by Vang Comp Systems

Does anyone know if the Big Speed Safety will work on a newer Remington 870 with the 'piece of crap' key lock safety? I tried a search but couldn't find any info.

It replaces the factory safety.

It will work just fine,I prefer the wilson version myself!

I wasn't sure if the key lock made a difference but thanks to both of you now I know.

You may also need the old style safety spring and ball detent.

I like 'em but there are very well informed users who differ. I have one each of the Vang and Wilson safeties and prefer the Vang because it's bigger and more rounded. The Wilson is a little harder to disengage and has a sharp edge.

The Vang safety is a very very very good thing.

I have a gun put together by Vang.
I took that safety off and put a normal one back on it.
It did replace the lock however.

Can you tell me how you swap out the safeties. I also have a Vang Comp safety but am thinking about putting in an original. Thanks.
