Big East Texas Coyote

I had no idea they could get this big in East, Texas.
Out in the Western plains yes. But East, Texas?!

Did you weigh it? Coyotes around here (Limestone County, Texas) average about 25 to 30 pounds, but I did kill one a few years back that was real big. He weighed 50 pounds.

I'd be willing to bet that thing has a domestic dog somewhere up in it's family tree.

Good shot there. I had two about that size come up behind me once deer hunting in NE Georgia. Didn’t shoot because I was on public land with a 7mm Rem Mag and an unknown backstop plus that’s not a caliber to shoot odd angles. Must have some bigger dog genetics in the East. Some there are giants and others look like big foxes like they do out here in Texas.
