Cracked Krag. How to fix?
Hello!
I recently took a chance on an online auction and bought myself a Danish M1889/10 Krag-Jørgensen rifle in very original condition, but upon receiving it I noticed that the stock is cracked around the magazine on the right side of the gun. Right side Also, on the left side of the rifle there is a dark line by the bottom of the magazine that looks like a crack that has been glued. Left side How bad is this? And is there a way to fix the crack and return this rifle to shooting condition? EDIT: The images did not load for some reason, so I have linked to them instead. Yes, it can be repaired, but it will be noticeable mostly because the stock will have to be degreased before the repair, and that will affect the finish. Not to worry, though, it can be done.

A needle style epoxy glue applicator and a padded clamp will do it. You spread the crack a tick, clean it and apply the epoxy then clamp. Easier to do than type how.
