Savage 687 Ho 20 ga

I had a friend offer me a 20ga real cheap.
But it would need a new barrel as someone did a botched job with a hacksaw.
After spending a great deal of time looking for info and finding very little I thought I would ask here.
Would appericate any info or suggestions I could get. Thank you. Bill

Is the botch job because the barrel is to short or because the choke is gone now?
I'm not finding any info either bolt action or pump?

Its a pump. Botched because it appears to have been cut die with a hack saw. Uneven cut. Vent rib was cut between the ribs. If I cannot find a barrel I will even the cut and make a support for the rib. Thank you for your reply and effort

If interested in adding a choke back in it the guys here recommend a guy who I think was doing it for $55.

That would be Mike Orlen in MA. Google can locate him, but cut mid rob makes it fairly useless. Trying to find a replacement might be harder to do.

Thank you for your reply. I will make a support for the rib. Add a front sight
and be done with it. I will continue to look for a barrel but with lack of information on the gun I dout I will find one. Thanks again.
