Which .22 for a new shooter?
I'm an instructor and I want to pick up a .22 specifically for use in training new shooters.
Thoughts? Ruger Mark II? Browning Buckmark? Other?? |

Ruger mkII. Once you have cleaned it a few times it is just as easy as any other gun. I have put over 20,000 round through mine without a problem. Sometimes going as much as 750 round between cleanings. It will feed any ammo out there. Good luck in your search.

Buckmark....I have a Buckmark 5.5 target that has never failed, with type 1, 2 or 3 malfunctions.. It has failed to go off but it was because the round was a dud. I wish my Smith 41 was as good.

Buckmark Camper is half the price of a Ruger new and the trigger is better. But I think some of the grips are not ambidexterous.

Actually, I already have a Mark II Government Competition. It jams constantly, no matter how well I clean it.
I'm also thinking about a wheel gun for training. |
